Where can I find the old english dubbed VHS?

Can someone help me?

I am trying to find the first english dubbed version. There are 2 english dubbed versions. The first which is not jackie's voice doing the dub, has english version of an Alan Tam song during when the 3 of them are driving and the ending "high up on high song" ..it is also the badly dubbed version where 3/4 of the movie they are out of sync. The 2nd is with jackie's voice and different english accents for the rest of the cast.

The first english dubbed was released years ago. If anyone knows where i can get it, please let me know. Or if the first english dub is on DVD, which dvd version is it on?

The US domestic release was under the title Operation Condor 2: Armour of the Gods. This has the english dub with jackie doing his voice dub. Its a good quality tranfer and the dubbing is just fine. I'd suggest it.

You didnt understand his post, did you? The first dub was so much better than his real voice. Also, insteead of leaving the end credit song to the old version, he decided to change it as well, making it a completely bad copy of Armor of God.

Jackie also did the same thing to Operation Condor, he changed his voice (which was ok) and then also changed the end credit song to yet another sleezy stupid chinese song, Arggh, i wish i could tell him off for doing such a stupid thing to the original copy. I will hate jackie for making me waste my money on his stupid voice (one) and secondly on his stupid credit songs (arrggghhh).

To the second poster, you might want to watch the one without his voice and compare the quality for yourself. The voice actors helped jackie alot in the movie, gave him an attitude. This versions of Armor of God and Operation Condor, Sucked in my opinnion. Arrgh!!!

I personally prefer watching the subtitled versions. I have the HK Legeneds DVD of Armour of God, which has the Cantonese audio & English subtitles and English dub (while you can view the subtitles & listen to the English version, the subtitles are for the Cantonese audio, which is slightly different in parts to the English dub).

I'm guessing there are more than two versions of the english dub. I have the HKL version which is a different english dub to the original VHS tape I got nearly 20 years ago, but the HKL version is also NOT JC's voice.

I've the original dub on video if you're interested. Sadly the quality isn't very good. I haven't heard the dub on the HKL DVD yet.

Me too.

The new dub is terrible. It makes them sound like 2 surfers. Plus they remove all of the abruptness of JC's character which was great in the original dub.

I've watched it once since I bought it and probably won't watch it again. Old VHS copy was much better IMO.

Yeah, I know what u mean.. This was one of my fav. movies but when I bought the new version, I didn't like it all :(
I used 2 have the old english-dubbed version when i was a kid. it was on a video tape but i don't have it anymore :(
the soundtracks were much better and the person who dubbed Jackie sounded better than Jackie himself!! I'd love 2 find the old version again.
Is there a chance to find it on utorrent?
Hope anyone could help me too. I'd appeciate it a lot:)

There's actually 3 English versions.

1) the original - which I love along with everyone who's seen it (Jackie Chan is more mercenary, cocky and sarcastic which perfectly suits his character)
2) the second version - this is weird, I found this version through a torrent file. It contains the original soundtrack but the voices were different - the dialog is the same but the voices are different and not as good as the first version.
3) the Jackie Chan redub - this is the worst version, as he turned his character into a Mother Theresa and removed all the smarminess and edited the dialog to sound like he's a Good Samaritan of some sort.

I myself would love to get a hold of version 1, but I have to live with version 2 for now :-(

The VHS version I have is in Mandarin and Cantonese with subtitles. I actually prefer that version.

I remember seeing the American dubbing version (released here in the UK on DVD). The part of the movie where Chan speaks to the head monk about worshipping money and that money is his God. And the monk guy said he would die for his foolish beliefs and then the three kung fu chicks come into the fray. That whole scene on the US version has completely different dialogue. Other moments in the movie were different as well. The VHS version released in the UK has the best dubbing audio and it has the high upon high track at the end of it. The version on DVD here in the UK that I bought but NEVER watch anymore is the US version. It has to be because if it was the UK version it would be the same dubbing version as the UK VHS version. But it's not. So a punch in the face is dedicated to those responsible for this complete *beep* up!.

For my part, the thing I remembered the most from the VHS-version I watched as I kid was the waiter that sells them information for money. The VHS-version is very funny and the waiter is dubbed with a super-gay monologue just like his body language would insinuate. In the DVD-version he just sounds boring.

The most dangerous bomb is the F-bomb and it requires censorship! All other bombs air live on CNN.

There's no such song.

That's also not how the english language works. It's "High Upon High", the word 'UPON' being one word, not two.

Why can't anyone type english anymore?

In any case, there are WAY more than two (and small numbers you can surely type as words instead of numbers, can't you?) versions, when it comes to this movie's soundtrack.

Some versions have COMPLETELY different musics, others have different dubs, etc.

It's very difficult to find the same version they used for the VHS release, where the dub is great and the musics are excellent. Too bad, but that's just the reality of modern world.
