Where do the people Audrey II eats go?

If it swallows them, the only place for them to go would be down into it's pot, and it doesn't seem like there would be room there. Does it just have an incredibly fast digestive system? Is it part Yoshi?

reply

Lol @ part Yoshi. :D

I think it might be part Yoshi, because it basically swallows the parts whole, and they don't come back out.

reply

I've always wondered that too. I used to think it it's head since that was the biggest part about the plant lol.

But the old 1960's movie is even more bizzare than that, b/c the plant has literally NO SPACE under it's "mouth" when Seymore is feeding the guy to it.

Maybe something in its system that works to break down the bodies? Being alien, who knows how its digestion works? LOL

I'm the kind of guy, when I move - watch my smoke. But I'm gonna need some good clothes though.

reply

They probably get digested quickly and turn into liquid that gets absorbed in the plant.

what happens when a venus fly trap eats a bug?

reply

They absorbe the insides, the "blood" and all for nutrients, but the outside of the insect is left in the trap.

I had a venus flytrap and after it eats a bug and the trap opens back up, it's sorta a gross depressing sight, the dried up corps of the insect is left there.

But obvisouly they wasn't the case with Audry 2, as the bodies were NOT left in the pod, so they had to go somewhere.

Wow! I never knew that. haha

Fast system.

reply

They turn into parts of the plant itself. Go watch the original Roger Corman flick, and you'll get the idea.

reply

I've wondered if you get swallowed alive by the plant how long you would be alive in the plant.

If at first you don't succeed, remove all evidence you ever tried.

reply

Why is this what we're worrying about? The thing is alien, and you're wondering about it's digestive system? Dear god, that's corrupt.

reply

Hey, it's a valid question. I learned in high school band, two different masses cannot be contained in the same spot at the same time. So when the plant takes somebody in... it DOES have teeth... but...where IS it's digestive system? It's a valid question. They go into the 'pot'?
