Who would voice Audrey II if rebooted

Levi Stubbs knocked it out if the park and such a fantastic singer but who could voice the part if it was rebooted today?

My choices are:

Tom Jones
Dave Grohl
Chad Kroeger
Eddie Murphy

Dr. John, BB King, Paul McCartney, Stevie Ray Vaughn (if he was still alive).

If they wanted a female Audrey 2, I'd picture Aretha Franklin. I also like your idea of Tom Jones, too.

Ouch, I guess you can remove BB King from that list now :( I hope they don't ever remake this, it's perfect!

Levi Stubbs was perfect for this role, it would be almost an impossible role to fill. I think you would have to go a bit left field... a black singer with loads of attitude, power and sass. Would have said Aretha if it was a few years back... think it would have to be Beyoncé. A female Audrey 2 with her vocals would be pretty special.
