"Oh Sato, nothing to forgive"

Dumb line for two reasons.

Sato spent the movie goading Miyagi into a fight to the death and sent his minions to harass and Daniel-san and his girlfriend. He arranged the physical assault on Daniel-san and his girlfriend and destruction of private property. He threatened to level the entire village including their church if Miyagi didn't agree to a death match.

Also consider that before he first left Okinawa, Miyagi was pitching woo with Sato's fiance.

So, this (in my humble opinion) is how that exchange should have gone:

Sato: "Forgive me, I beg you..."

Miyagi: "Only if you forgive me, my old friend"

Miyagi had a soft sweet heart and no pride. Great man he was!

We never saw or heard anything about Sato again after that. Stop and think about that for a second.

Oh dear God no......

LOL! Sounds like a cutaway scene on Family Guy:

Peter: "... one minute I saw him and then he just disappeared, sort of like how Sato went missing at the end of Karate Kid II ... [cutaway scene] Chozen running back into the village - "Uncle, I'm back!! Uncle? Uncle? Where you go???" Villagers just sort of suspiciously whistling nervously while looking away....[/cutaway scene]

I though the exact same thing. They were both wrong and both needed forgiveness from each other.
