The Hoosier Gym in Knightstown, Indiana

The gym where they shot the movie still stands in all its glory. Looks the same as it did in the movie. You can go in there and shoot hoops, see the locker room, etc. I did it yesterday and it was an awesome experience. It's free too. For only $30 an hour, you can rent the gym out and have it to yourself.

Knighstown is located just off the I-70 about 30 miles east of Indianapolis.

I visited this gymnasium about 10 years ago, or thereabouts, and I too highly recommend it. They still have the "team photo" hanging up-- the one that is seen in the final scene of the movie, when the little kid is shooting hoops.

Does the size of the court seem extremely small? If you superimposed an NBA or even a college 3 point line, it would almost cut through the circle at half court.

Compare the court size to the one at Butler Field House during the state finals..

The Hoosier Gym court is 75 feet by 47 feet. In comparison, a modern high school court is 84 by 50. College and NBA courts are 94 by 50.
