30 years since Hoosiers came out
its been 30 years since Hoosiers came out in limited releases and it was thrilled to critics and moviegoers alike, becoming one of the best sports movies ever made. Hoosiers was nominated for two oscars and it starred Gene Hackman, Barbara Hershey and the late Dennis Hopper. the movie inspired by a true story of an Indiana High school Basketball team who won the state championship. it followed Norman Dale, a former college basketball coach who had an abuse on one of his team players came to the small town of Hickory Indiana to get a second chance by coaching the high school basketball team, the Hickory Huskers and began a glory road to victory. Hoosiers had a music score by late academy award winning composer Jerry Goldsmith with the use of 100-piece Orchestra, the Yamaha DX7 synthesizer and a basketball sound added to the drum machine.
