I love this movie but that hair!

I know that when I saw the movie in 1986, I thought Barbara Hershey's hair was beautiful and stylish. LOL. I saw HAHS tonight on TCM and couldn't believe how awful her hair looked and even Mia's hair doesn't stand the test of time (I thought Mia's looked beautifully natural and angelic back then). Barbara Hershey's hair was horribly stringy and frizzy and lifeless. Mia's was just kind of limp.
I know this all sounds shallow and judgmental, but really it just goes to show how differently we can view styles years later. Nearly 30 years later.
The movie is really great, though. At least it has stood the test of time.

It's funny how those 70s and 80s fashions aged pretty badly.

Looking at my grandparents wedding photograph circa 1956, it seems so much more vintage and timeless than my parent's wedding photo from 1980. Of course, being in black and white also helps.
