Police Brutality on Tommy Jarvis

All he wanted the cops to do was to simply look at a grave...such a difficult job. They couldn't squeeze in a trip to the graveyard in-between doing nothing at the station and doing nothing on patrol. Yet, they treated Tommy like a piece of dirt and put a gun to his head at the cemetery.

Way too woke for 1986.
Also had a black woman in it. Double woke.
And Jason didn't kill any of the kid campers...probably didn't want to offend the snowflakes. Triple woke, actually.
My head is spinning from all the wokeness in Part 6.

Tommy pulled a gun out of the gun cabinet and got to live.

Tommy was s threat to the serenity of the lives they built.

He is actually responsible for bringing Jason back to life. So I dont blame them.

reply

Tommy was defintely abusing his White Privilege.

He really was pushing his luck with it at that point, even though they did put a gun to his head for the simple crime of running around a cemetery. Not like he's bothering anyone. They're all dead.

"Wherever the red dot goes, YA BANG!" - Cop at cemetery to Thomas Jarvis

Willing to shoot young Thomas over running around a graveyard. Remember, they thought Jason was still dead and buried and that Thomas was just a crazy guy committing the crime of running around. :(

Then remember later on in the movie, the girl gets the gun and points it at that same cop and Thomas says "Wherever the red dot goes, YA BANG!" in a mocking tone. How woke!
