This should be rated PG

Because it's not scary, has unrealistic gore, limited nudity, and Jason becomes a moralistic wimp. Fun for the whole family!

Just because Jason didn't kill the children doesn't make him a moralistic wimp. He probably understands that they pose no threat to him and is angrier at the adults. After all it was counselors like them who let him drown while he was still a child himself. Plus he spent most of the fourth film trying to kill Tommy, who was a child at the time. It was only after Tommy disguised himself at the end that Jason hesitated to kill him. As for the movie being PG rated, limited blood and lack nudity aside, this movie has some pretty brutal kills.

This would've never passed for a PG rating. The atmosphere, directing, and overrall comedy does give it a bit of a Joe Dante vibe at times though.

You know, call me crazy, but I have this strange theory that Jason decided not to go after children after the incident with Tommy in Part 4; because let's face it, we have seen him kill a pregnant woman in Part 3 (granted, he had no way of knowing she was pregnant, but she was still pregnant nonetheless). So, perhaps after seeing Tommy with a shaved head (which reminded him of his 11-year old self), something may have clicked in Jason's mind that made him realize he was a child once.

Anyway, I don't get why gore hounds are slamming films like this or Part 7 for not having any child deaths, when Parts 1, 2, and 4 never technically had any either!

Jason has never killed a child.

It's simple really, he knows that they were not to play for his death, nor his mother's death.

reply

He murdered a pregnant woman in part three and a handicapped man in two. Plus, Jason drowning in part one was a child death in itself. Much more horror there.

Whatever hipster metal dude. Brutal (a trendy word) kills? Name one. Like the black girl's head getting twisted off? Haha! ok.
Part 3 Jason is much more evil and kooler.
BTW, I love real hip hop. You metal nazis always try to bully people who like other genres. Get better hobbies.

you are the worst poster on the site go away troll.

This movie has the most violence of any of the series.

reply

The first one and part 4 are way gorier than this one.

Low budget film director, punk rocker at heart.

The first film was hardly gory (save for Bill's death). Though, I agree on Part 4, that one may have had the most brutal kills in the entire series.

Part 2 had some good death scenes too, though they weren't exactly "gory".

All of the Friday the 13th Movies should have been rated PG-13... I mean, there's nothing in these movies that's disturbing or "hurtful". It's just pure fun.

All of the F13 should be PG ?
Maybe Jason Takes Manhatten and Maybe Jason Lives, those two are the tamest of the lot...
A New Begining has a sh!tload of nudity and kills and probably the most explicit of the lot..
Jason Goes To Hell also pretty gory and plenty of nudity if I can remember correct
Funny that the two most graphic of the franchise don't really feature Jason..

reply

Umm, there is nothing PG about this movie.

This guy is the dumbest poster on the site, it is questionable if he even watches half the movies he writes about.

Jason Lives has some of the goriest scenes in any F13 movie. Skulls are crushed in, Backs broken in half, Knives jammed trough skulls, triple decapitations, heart ripped out of chest, and you see it ALL.

Just ignore YankeeDoo as the site does. He doesn't have any credability. This guy has Rated the Walking Dead, 24, and Underworld a 1. Those are two of the best TV shows in the history of television and the other is one of the best Vampire/werewolf flicks of all time.

reply

So according to you, it takes a real man to kill children? Otherwise he's a moralistic wimp?
