Aired on Channel 11 back in the 90s on a Friday the 13th

It scared the hell out of me.

lol yep I remember channel 11 and watching this when it came on back in the early 90's. It was probably the first Friday movie I ever saw and yes it scared me silly.

Part 6 is also the first time I saw is face without his hockey mask, because Jason Goes To Hell was the very first Jason movie I saw aired on Showtime in the 90s and his face was never shown.

Saw it when it first came out on vhs in '87(used to take a full year after theatrical release!) and it scared the living crap out of me. Couldn't make it past the double impalement of the couple near the beginning. Looking back now it seems pretty silly, but the same can be said about other horror classics ie Psycho, Omen, Jaws

I have a VHS tape from around 1996 where I taped parts 2, 3, and 6 off of Cinemax when they did a marathon on a Friday the 13th. I love that tape.

This was one of the first Friday's I was "aware" of. I don't think I ever saw the full movie. But staying at friend's houses who had older brothers, I can remember bits of this coming on the TV. The paintball sequence, a few other murder scenes. Also, I was a Boy Scout during this period, and us 12 year old boys would share the small pieces of this movie we had seen and freak each other out.
