The gore looks real fake and sex scenes were pretty limited.
Just right for 12 year old audiences.

I don't think the MPAA cares about the blood looking real or not. They care about whether it's shown or not.

Being scary isn't a factor either. In fact, they allow scary blood if it's not red.
