Dee Wallace
Does anyone else think Dee Wallace Stone should be regarded as a screem queen, i mean she made 4 horror flicks ranging from decent to classic with hills have eyes, the howling, cujo, and my personal favorite...critters

shareI loved her in this. She wasted so many critters with that shotgun.
shareYeah, she definitely qualifies for that. She seemed to have created quite the little niche for herself during the eighties, doing these "B"-movies.

Dee Wallace certainly gets my vote as a true scream queen. I loved how she stood up to the Crites and blew a couple of those nasty buggers away with a shotgun.
1,000 mini-bios and I feel like I'm just getting started
I can't believe nobody mentioned Frighteners! Awesome performance!
She's been in way more than just those 4, anyway.
Yes, she gets a definite nod as a scream queen.

Of course she's a scream queen.
The Hills Have Eyes, The Howling, Cujo, Critters & The Frighteners.
She has also had a lot of minor roles in other horror films, notably a few Rob Zombie flicks and The House of the Devil.
The thing is a lot of 'scream queens' have one major recurring role which were in hugely popular franchises;
- Jamie Lee Curits as Laurie (Halloween)
- Heather Langenkamp as Nancy (A Nightmare on Elm Street)
- Neve Campbell as Sidney (Scream)
- Ashley Laurence as Kirsty (Hellraiser)
If Dee had of done a few Howling or Critters sequels she'd probably get mentioned a bit more often. But as I said she hasn't starred in one of those big commercial slasher franchises. She's missing that one defining role in a hugely popular franchise, hence why she's often forgotten a bit in these discussions. When I think of Dee Wallace my mind goes to a number of films and roles.
