The ripping of the shirt

Did he really feel safe leaving those sweet wheels alone after an unnecessary humiliation like that? What do you think would happen to his mercury in the world of the real?

Not to mention damaging his own front bumper, ramming into the space nose-first, instead of parallel-parking normally. That whole scene was bizarre.

That whole scene was awesome

Fixed.

He was my C.O. in Nam. CIA listed him as MIA but the V.A. ID'd his M.O. and put out an APB.

Amen. Seems like the previous poster needs to clean up their act.

One other detail about that scene. The guy whose vest he rips is clearly wearing a wire under it. So that macho guy was actually an undercover cop, or an informer, and Cobra just totally ruined his cover. Strange detail.

Unless that wire was actually how the actor was being mic'd up for the scene, and the shirt rip was improvised by Stallone...

reply

My take is that the wire was intentional and that was why the cholo started acting nice to Stallone later - Stallone knew his secret that the cholo was actually an informant.

If anything ever happened to his mercury the aces' would be in a body bag in the trunk.
