UGLY CAST?
I don't usually focus on such things, but does anyone else think that -- with the exception of the two leads and the ever-luscious Patti D'Arbanville (thought she was Valerie Perrine at first) -- the cast is rather uniformly ugly?
Bonnie hot? Not. The girl from the arcade, whom Roy murders, attractive, or even sexy? No. The detective partners ... both quite funny-lookin'. The girls at Venice Beach (especially the ones attacking Bo and Roy) and on Hollywood Blvd. ... bow-wow. Even most of the dudes in the bar are substandard for gay guys.
And I'm not talking about the weird '80s hair and clothes (although that doesn't help), just that most of the cast seem below-average in physical appearance. Intentional, to make the leads more handsome? Conversely symbolic maybe, that the good/normal people are unattractive, and the weird/sick ones are attractive? I know this is a low-budget flick, but does it cost more to hire pretty actors?

"No, it's eat all you like -- there's no competitive element implied." (Peep Show)
