Jason's dive near the end of the film

Maybe I'm just ignorant about diving, but it didn't seem all that impressive to me. Yes, he dove backwards, but otherwise just went straight down. No twists or turns. They reacted as if he did the greatest dive ever, but it didn't seem so amazing.

The whole movie was the "good" guys cheating at every turn while we root for them.
