I haven't seen it in a long time, and then I only rented it based on the cover, but yes at the time I found it to be an enjoyable film. I especially liked the hunting in the swamp scene, for a low budget Cannon film, it was very well done. If anybody knows of a place to get a dvd or new VHS then please speak up.

I agree, there are several movies I thought there should have been a sequel to also. one of them being Chuck Norris's Silent Rage is one.

I am from Australia and I purchased it on DVD today for $10AU. It is bare basics and full screen but a good transfer and plus it has been a good 10 years since I saw it. Avenging force still holds up well after all this time.

yeah i have seen this movie when i was a lot younger and did like it. i think Steve James should have definitley stuck around in the film, but anyway, the final fight sequences are violent and unique in the bayou setting. i've been looking for this vhs for years just for the final sequence.

I love this movie! This is what made me a fan of MD. I saw this before I saw American Ninja.

Im sorry guys but I think this film reeks. I saw this when i was about 8 or 9 when it was first released when Goran & Globus where in their heyday. I know i should tkae it with a pich of salt but just find it so crap! my main gripes are

1. For a bunch of white supremacists theyre very well steeped in foreign culture. Theyre all martial arts experts, they all wear foreign ornamental items like the japanese Kabuki mask, the african eye mask etc.....

2 . The girl that plays MD's sister cant act with a gun to her head

3. The end fight with MD and the head of pentangle you can clearly see where they put the older lads stunt double in.
(for a really good spoof of this see the diner fight in Im gonna get you sucka)

4. The prodcution value is pathetic, wobbly cardboard sets were the order of the day.

5. Whyen the head entangle man is giving his speech in the Kendo dojo about how immigrants are coming to kill and rape, watch the crowd. Thers a guy there overacting in the extreme.

Now Im not saying, nobody should see this film. Its good fir all the wrong reasons, in that youll laff ure ass off if its on tv. But kudos to the makers for killing all of the family in the film. That kind of things is rarely done for dumbass execx thinkning people will be shocked

ANyone agree or disagree?

the movie rules. and if you don't get it then it's your own loss. there's hundreds of reasons why they are white supremacists but still partake in swordfighting etc. in one way it's simply a front for their inner beliefs and in others it's simply a way to get off on their manhunting.

everything about this movie is incredibly fantastic, it almost brings a tear to my eye when i think about it.

"how about... a royal flush!" *loren avedon kicks a cauldron of boiling water into the bad guys*

I saw this movie on a Sky movie channel back in 2002 (cos I'd seen Dudikoff and James in the American Ninja films) and I actually thought it was good. I might buy it on DVD soon, as it's available in the UK now. I remember the end sequences being really exciting.

The film definitely has it's faults with obvious stunt doubling etc but i'm a massive fan anyway. It's quite powerful and has a lot of heart, oh and the dude and steve james are always great together. I love most of Cannon's films and they are mostly responsible for me training in martial arts and for inspiring me to make my career choice www.left4dead.co.uk and www.fixersthemovie.co.uk - i LOVE Sam Firstenberg films!!! Check out Revenge Of the Ninja also. First martial arts film i ever saw and it had a big effect on me.

I watched this movie last night and spotted everything that you have mentioned ( its kind of hard to miss any of these things ). The bad stunt double for the old bad guy at the end is brilliant, they have a stunt double with a bad wig who doesnt actually do any stunts. On another subject, the little girls acting was the worst I have ever seen, how did she manage to act so badly ?
I love how Dudikoff and Steve James constantly tumble and do forward rolls around on the ground during mid battle with the bad guys, they dont make em like this anymore !

The bad stunt double for the old bad guy at the end is brilliant, they have a stunt double with a bad wig who doesnt actually do any stunts.

This was weird. You can clearly see the actor doing some stuff that takes at least a little bit of coordination, then the camera switches angles and it's a dude with a grey afro wig. He only does a couple of real stunts when he falls down the stairs and maybe something else I can't remember. My guess is the real actor wasn't available for the whole fight scene so they had to add in more stuff with a stuntman?

Don't pick on the girl who played Matt's sister cuase she was like a tard or something cause her parents were killed.

The "falling off the roof" part makes me laugh every time I see it.

Yes... the best performance of Michael Dudikoff.

I desperately wanted to have this one on DVD, and this noon UPS came over and delivered my ordered (dutch version, with English, German and French language tracks) item.... yieha!

This was Michael Dudikoff's best film of his career. The "American Ninja" movies were good but I saw this one to be one in which brought out the best in him character wise. I wished Cannon would've elaborated more of his character in further movies than just making Ninja movies, they could've had something great.

I just got my DVD by MGM, Region 2, with english, french and german audio. I hat Micheal Dudikoff in general but this one is said to be his best movie and also a very violent one. We´ll see.
