Well you know how it goes it takes time for it to go out on DVD. If enough people where to request this show to be shown on TV Land, Nick@Nite, ABC Family, Hallmark Channel or any other stations that you can think of then possibly they would put this out onto video! Start asking for this to be shown on TV again. Come on everyone!

Will each season be labeled correctly as "Valerie" and then "Valerie's Family" and then "The Hogan Family" and then "The Hogans", respectively? I think this is the only television series to go through four separate names for the same show. Ha ha!

...rhymes with story

That could be the reason why the show lost a lot of fans because it changed the title of the show so many times that no one knew when it was on or what the show was about. That could be a theory you know or a possibility as well.

it was on for a long time. people lost interest. but it brings back childhood memories

I do not even know how in the world Gunsmoke who holds the record of 12 or 13 years of being on television kept a lot of people wanting to watch the show every week. I loved the show as a teenager and somewhat lost track of when it switched from NBC to CBS. It was a great show to watch. I was around the age of all of the kids.

Gunsmoke was on the air 20 years. Many great guest stars kept it on the air also great scripts. Even Bette Davis appeared.

I know what you mean and I do not understand why these movie companies have us wait for so long until they decide to get it out on DVD box sets. That is the thing if more stations would have picked up Valerie/Hogan Family when it went off the air in 1990 then more than likely it would have been big and popular you know and a DVD box set would be out by now.

That is what happened to Mr. Belvedere and other great shows that we all love to watch. I saw shows from around that time go into syndication and look at them now they are all on DVD except Mr. Belvedere and Valerie! That really makes me mad you know.

I have heard that Warner Bros Hoome Video owns the rights to Valerie :
4000 Warner Blvd
Burbank, Calif 91522
818-954-6000
212-954-7667

I for one have started writing to them and have requested them to write back if in fact they are not the ones to be contacting. I also go to abcfamily.com and click on feedback at the bottom of the page and request that the show be aired again and I try to do that several times a week.

I have emailed ABC Family to re-air Valerie/Hogan Family again and never heard anything from ABC Family about it. I wished that they would show some shows from the 80's ABC Family would.

I have seen ABC Family at one time show Punky Brewster, Growing Pains, Who's The Boss, and Life Goes On. These were some great shows from the 80's and I would love to see more of them as well you know.

I just wished that Mr. Belvedere was as popular as The Brady Bunch because if it was then it would have been aired a lot in syndication Mr. Belvedere you know.

There was a news article quite a while ago..2005 or 2006...reporting on a gathering of studios to announce TVonDVD they planned to release and ones they had no plans to release...unfortunatly, Valerie/Valerie's Family/Hogan Family/Hogan's was listed as one they don't plan to release...of course plans can change of course but it isn't even on their list. Go to tvshowsondvd.com, register and vote for this show to be released on DVD...There have been some shows released on DVD in part based on the voting by fans on this site...The soon to be released Perfect Strangers is an example of a show that the studio based their decision in part to release the show on DVD based on these votes. Go and vote for this show now.

Ok thanks for passing the important information to me guy because I loved watching this show and Perfect Strangers as well. Another show that has been like Hogan Family is Mr. Belvedere. I have not seen that show in ages but a lot of people have said it was in syndication at one point or another in the early to mid 90's.

I never saw it on TV especially back home where I grew up at. They said that FOX had picked it up to air. I will go there and vote guy! Thank you because I would love to see Valerie, Valerie's Family, Hogan Family, and then Hogan's.

Is it not strange that this show changed its name so many times? What were they trying to do appeal to people so they can say "I have never heard of this show before it sounds interesting!"

I voted for it and hope that it helps out. I even voted for Mr. Belvedere as well because I would love to see that be released in DVD box set as well as Valerie.

I have always loved the show and followed it through the name changes, scheduling switches and network switch...its a good show in my eyes that definately deserves to have been on DVD years ago...same goes for Mr Belvedere and Our House...Ive seen new releases to DVD over the past couple of years of some shows I would think of as lesser known...Adam-12 for example...I remember the show, but I dont believe it was on for long.

Imagine we, the fans of this shows delight if they did release Valerie/Valeries family/The Hogan Family/The Hogans onto DVD....heres an interesting thought I wouldnt be one bit surprised was an issue possibly with doing so...What title to put on it....

I know what you mean! There are shows that only lasted like a season or two and already have a DVD box set out! I mean I was excited to buy Buck Rogers In The 25th Century because I was a kid when that show came out and now I am 35 years old.

I remember Adam-12! That was a good show. I just do not understand why it takes forever for some shows to be placed into DVD box sets you know and I agree with you about what the title should be on the cover of the box since it has been changed so many times!

Has there been any other show like that before that has changed its name so many times? I was just wondering about that. I loved the show and wished Hogan Family would come out on DVD! It needs to including Mr. Belvedere or any other great shows as well!
