Valerie is holding us fans from enjoying this great show!

Valerie Harper is holding us fans from being able to watch this show that we all loved and want to see once again! The only known netoworks that has shown this great show was PAX which is now known as ION Television and ABC Family Channel but no other network wants to show this! They are idiots and not helping things out and nor is Valerie either! This really makes me mad about this!

There is NO such info at all. She isn't the reason. The producers are holding out, not her. This was confirmed by Edie McClurg in an interview. Valerie isn't the holdout. She stands to lose money by doing so.

Well, after how she was treated, I don't want to watch the show either. In fact, if I was a crew member, I would have gotten into a brawl with those responsible for her dismissal.

When I was a teenager at the time when the show came on I loved it with Valerie on the show. Then when they got rid of her. I wondered why they did not keep her. It was not until I found out why they wrote Valerie off of the show. I still enjoyed watching the show with Sandy Duncan as the aunt but it was missing that main element which is Valerie in my opinion. See I would still want the DVD box set if it was released. I have not seen that show in ages on TV in reruns and feel it should be shown as much as some of these other shows from the 80's. I understand why you would be upset about it.

I agree with you. I really got into this show because of Valerie Harper of whom I am a big fan. Since Rhoda never had children, it was great to see Valerie finally play a mom on a sitcom. After she left the show, I tried watching it with Sandy Duncan but it was not the same. It's not for any of us to judge whether what she did was right or wrong (how many professional athletes have held out for more money?) especially since most of us are not aware of all the facts. But this was a terrific opportunity for TV stardom for her and it was a shame that this dispute derailed any chance of that happening and it seems as if this effectively ended her TV career.

Is is still on Antenna TV?

I had the entire series on my DVR at one point because I knew know streaming service will ever pick it up.

Is it on twice? It used to be on 7 days a week sometimes for an hour each day.

As for Harper, I thought should was great. But Duncan did a fantastic job with feeling that role.

It is not anymore. It used to be a couple of years back, huh.

reply

Yes. Maybe 4 actually.

But yes, it used to be on Antenna TV
