This show after 20 yrs.+ holds up beautifully and still cracks me up...low key subtlety is played w\a deft touch !-mixed in w\the obvious slapstick....

I think it more than "holds up".
It think it had gotten better with age.

I was in my early teens when SH hit our screens here in England...and they would put it on at stupid times like 3 AM. American shows just were not as popular as they are today.
But I still managed to watch every episode.

I loved the show back then.
But watching it now as a 30 odd year old. I "understand" the show much more, get more of the references, jokes and satire.
For me the show has not "held up" over 20+ years...but has infact become much better.

The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he is God.

Its a pure gem and would be perfect on Itv2 along with Cheers etc...people who missed its late night showings here in the Uk would love it!

It's a great show that should ' ve gone on much longer!

Yeah should have been more seasons with the 1st season writers, so many other movies etc to spoof over the years after it finished...shame.
