Balki and Latka
I love Balki and I love Bronson Pinchot's portrayal, but it's hard to think he's not totally ripping off Latka Gravas from Taxi...

shareI think quite a few characters on sitcoms have been Latka-inspired. Fez from "That 70's Show" seems a little Latka-ish to me. Balki was probably inspired from Latka too. But I still love him. Great character.
shareI doubt Latka was the first TV character who was a vaguely European foreigner with an accent.
