Out of curiousity... Why was this rated R?

I saw it very long ago. I don't remember anything deserving of an R-rating (unless Kitaen's Absolute Ravishing Beauty --with her clothes on-- could be so classified). Am I forgetting something?

Get a warrant, George.

Well there are a few bloody scenes:

Load of sheet rock landing on Lloyd, resulting in a mini bloodbath
Hatchet smashed in the face of Brandon splattering what appeared to be brains
Zarabeth falling from her window and being impaled on a front yard blade

Then there's the language and a very great scene of Tawny nude towards the end. I think it deserves an R rating.

You're kidding about the Tawny nude scene, right? I don't remember it.

Nah, it's towards the end where she's in the shower. Not very long at all, but it was a memorable moment for a young boy. LMAO It's just before she ends up finally being posessed.

Thanks for the info.

Just a word to the wise... You better put SPOILER in your subject heading or someone's gonna blow a gasket about how you ruined the movie for them and they'll need intensive therapy for the next 20 years and you know how expensive that can be. ;))

More questions for the curious, How much profanity is there in the film? Is my memory playing tricks on me, or was Tawny unbelievably drive-into-a -cement-wall beautiful in this film? I've also heard that Tawny is the star in a movie called "Gwendoline" or "The perils of Gwendoline." I don't know if I'll be able to find it anywhere, but have you seen it? Is it good?

After I posted, I meant to go back and put that spolier warning, but never did. Yeah, I'll go back and upadte in a few. Yes, Tawny was definitely beautiful in this movie so much as to leading me to have a crush on her at the age of 6. Pityful, I know, but my God she was beautiful. The profanity mostly comes from her as "symptoms of progressive entrapment". She says the "f" word a few times and mixes and few more in there. Jim has a few bombs and that's about it. Nothing much, but just enough to barely get it over the hump of "R" rating. As for "The Perils Of Gwendoline In The Land Of Yik-Yak" (I found that's the full title LMAO), I haven't seen it and this website says it isn't available. I guess that's where ebay comes in. Like I said, I've never seen it, but I'll watch anything with Tawny.

Tawny is unbelievable. My heart starts beating faster just typing out her name here!

Are there any other movies besides Withchboard (and Gwendoline) that you can recommend where the beauty of Tawny is on display?

reply

Bachelor Party, Playback, Crystal Heart among others. Yes, she is totally unbelievable.

Yeah, it's on DVD now so you better revisit it for what you forgot or missed lol.

The ultimate moment for us guys who were about 12 years old back then, Tawny trapped in the shower and having to bust her way out of the glass with a towel. It was very well choreographed for just a touch of gratuitous nudity, but Tawney manages to move the towel ever so slightly to reveal both her top shelf goods AND bottom front property :). Run in slow mo it's quite a sight as they snuck in the muff shot.

The violence is pretty graphic which slit throats, blade impalement, axe to the forehead, construction dude crushed by sheetrock, resulting in coughed up blood covering his face.

And Tawney's couple of F-words, plus a-hole and sh** said a bunch of times.
