Joss Whedon really hates this movie.

While a lot of people happen to like this movie, a billion dollar director and writer, and general comic book enthusiast, by the name of Joss Whedon frankly detests it.

Actual quote-

"I hate Weird Science not a little," he said. "I find it offensive. The boy fantasy of building a girl. Obviously, we were doing the nasty version of it, because I find it grotesque."

To be fair, while the concept is juvenile and a teen boy's fantasy, Hughes did give the boy creation personality and didn't just have her pose for the camera every ten seconds. Give him credit for that.

Whedon is just jealous that John Hughes was able to make something far more cinematic with a budget of $7m than he was with $200m.

I love the Avengers and believe Whedon is better than Nolan, but yeah I hate how SJW Whedon is on women.

Guess there really are people who act worse than 12 year olds.

I'd say both Hughes and Whedon spoke for adolescence audiences in their respective time frames.

Joss Whedon is a total hack. Everything he makes is garbage. Hacks like him always hate things that are much better than anything they can create. Just jealous.
