Every ill-conceived piece of trash cranked out by Hollywood is available, no problem, and yet there's no DVD of Trouble in Mind to be had. What sort of sleazy SOB has his hand on the throttle, anyway? This ain't a fit world for sensible folk.

This film was released on DVD in Europe several years ago. It is currently out of print, but you can get second-hand copies from Amazon UK or Amazon Germany.
I bought it when it was still available. It is not the best transfer, and there are absolutely no extras. However, since a deluxe re-release is highly unlikely, it's either this or VHS.
I want this on DVD ... if not for the whole film then just for the Mark Isham / Marianne Faithfull track...I play the original? blues piano .... A very clever film that has a space waiting for it in my collection...its a shame British TV doesnt show it again as I would just record it...havent seen it for ages..anyone know the reason why?
Channel 4 used to show it on TV in the UK and that's where I got my recording, albeit fullscreen and with ad breaks. But better than nothing...
Since Channel 4 stopped showing quirky and original broadcasting and turned into a commercial whore like all the other channels they now just show the usual Hollywood crap or the odd interesting movie to fill in a vacant slot at 4.00am.
Something also worth keeping your eyes peeled for is the CD of the OST, which came out for like 5 minutes and was then deleted from the catalogue. It's on the Antilles/New Directions label (part of Island Records), catalogue no 90501-2. It occasionally turns up in rare records or speciality soundtrack stores. I nearly had a heart attack when a copy materialised in a store in London as part of a large collection of soundtracks bought up by the owner.
Yeah, saw it in Japan, and then again on C4... I'm back in the uk now..but alas I never kept a copy...I hope you have converted your tape to DVD for posterity...and chopped out the adverts. I have been after the soundtrack as well, particularly for the Mark Isham /Marianne Faithful colaboration...but I haven't found an available copy...I have been a big fan of Isham's work since then... oh well we live in hope...bring back Alex Cox on BBC2 ....Moviedrome... TV was so much better then... cheers
It will be released AT LAST on December 14, 2010. It can be had (pre-ordered) on Amazon. I've got my Brewster McCloud and now this! I'm an old, happy man.
