Why is this never on?

Being the gentle and engrossing tale that it is, I'm really surprised that its never shown on TV!
Its so tame, it doesn't even need a censor! Sure, some people would find it slower given the films nowadays.
But a classic film is a classic film, and this one fits that category!

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."

I can't believe some of the junk that is shown on AMC -- the station used to be truly classic movies. Now there's a lot that was commercially successful but is by no means classic. Sad.

Good cinema is not welcome any more. The new hip trash gets all the exposure. I have it recorded. I don't need them.
