When I grow up I wanna be Jack Deth.

Trancers is a true gem, I remember watching this when it came out on vhs with my dad, it was utterly terrible then and its utterly terrible now, but that doesnt mean its a bad movie, oh no, it is a fantastic little b-movie, with a truly great character in Jack Deth, forget yer Deckard's or kyle reese's, Jack is the man, unfortunately it runs at a stupidly short running time, 76 mins and unusally for a movie of this ilk it leaves you wanting more, yes the effects are bad, (although Buecler was behind some of em) yes the acting is bad, yes the plot's nothing new, but as solid cult 80's entertainment go's, you just cant go wrong, and whats even better I got it on DVD for a crazy price of just one pound from my local pound shop (it was this or house of the dead, not a tough choice there then eh).
So with Hollywood remaking just about everything thats older than two years, surely the movies of Charles Band deserve another look, with some actual budget thrown at his classics we could have some fantastic remakes (which for the record I'm usually completely against, but some of his movies deserve to reach a wider audience) imagine a new Robotjox, Crash and burn, Arena or Trancers, they could be terrible sure, making the originals look better or wisper it, they could just be great.

Jack could only have been more bad ass if he actually wore the helmet that was on the cover.

Your so so right, although it might have looked out of place with the trench coat.

I thought Jack was pretty badass when he gelled his hair and then scraped it off on Phil's dresser in front of Helen Hunt and said "Only Squids have Dry hair!" haha...

I thought he was badass when he just pulled his gun and blasted Whistler's body in the lab. Loved it.

I could not agree with you more, this 80's gem is totally boss and Jack kicks ass throughout. So much neon! I watched it for the first time last night and could not believe how much fun it is, I mean Helen Hunt as a punk girl? An 80's guitar just stuck on the wall of her friends bedroom? Jack's police buddy returning in the body of a little girl? The sentence "It's July now, and I'm tired, real tired." It simply doesn't get any better!

Also Robot Jox rules too. "We are already dead! We are Robot Jox!"

lmao @ boss
