I should also add that the DVD is sourced from the original Vestron Laserdisc that was released in 1985, and the DVD is the worst of quality, and considering how the laserdisc is (or was) double sided, midway into the film, the screen goes black and then fades back in. Apparently, the DVD authors had to flip the LD to the opposite side to continue the film.
Thanks for the heads up. Well I've paid my money, and I'm just waiting for it to be delivered, I passed on buying part 2 as I never really thought much of it.
However I did stump up the cash for part 3, so I'll hold my breath and wait and see what the quality of this one's like.
Yeah, it's sourced from the laserdisc, which I believe was sourced from a VHS tape. BUT the good news is, Charles Band has said in his vidcast on youtube that they're going back through all their movies and remastering them and putting them on Blu Ray. I bought the Puppet Master trunk set, and while the film wasn't flawless, it was really clean, and sharp.
Trancers turned up today, I didn't realise that it was a Full Moon Release, for some insane reason I thought someone else was releasing it, I wasn't sure just how much of the back catalogue Band still had control of. Still it was nice to see the original artwork on the dvd cover.)
