Oddly, there's a poll on the website of Big Sky Video (who just released the otherwise-dreadful R4 version) which suggests a remaster is in the offing.

The wording is terrible...and because of it, the fullscreen option has almost as many votes as the w/s one.

shareAccording to DVD Empire, Echo Bridge Home Entertainment is re-releasing this film as well as parts 2 and 3. Don't know if they'll have bonus features galore or if they'll be bare bones or if they'll be in full frame or widescreen.

Looking up the buyers guide on the Echo Bridge site, they're not widescreen, but here's hoping the transfers are actually decent.

Read a review on Amazon that said that the new triple feature DVD was on par with the the DVDs of Parts 1-3 from Full Moon. Meaning that they are in full screen.

Just a word of advice guys, when it's Echo Bridge it's usually not very good. Mill Creek has been doing some nice budget Blu Rays, with damn nice PQ.
shareCharles Band has said that they're releasing all the old titles on Blu Ray (and DVD also), they've done Puppet Master 1-3 and I can tell you part 1 looks great. So HOPEFULLY in the near future, we'll be seeing Trancers in HD.
