Can having your hands deep-fried actually kill you?

That's something I've wondered ever since the restaurant scene. It looks like it would be hella painful, but hardly fatal.

He probably went into shock from the pain and that's what killed him.

reply

Hmm. I guessed something along those lines. Thanks.

Are you sure he didn't just pass out because of the pain?

reply

No, I'm not sure. But if he did, he was still passed out when the cops arrived.

Heart attack i believe.

And what about in Watchmen when Rorschache cooked the bully?

I've only seen The Watchmen once and I don't remember that part.

In both the graphic novel (aka comic book paperback collection) and movie of Watchmen, Rorshache is in prison waiting for food in the cafe as a large bully who claims to be a fan of him wants to kill him but he dodges the shard then hits him on the face with the tray then breaks the glass where the french fry oil cooker is then grabs it, he splashes the boiling deep fry oil all over him as he screams like a bitch in agony and his skin is burning.

Look for it on youtube, it's funny as hell.

I doubt there is any normal human being who wouldn't scream "like a bitch" from having boiling oil thrown on his or her face.
I don't remember that scene or Rorshache chopping someone's head up when I saw this in the theaters. Is this from an extended cut?

Well you could always go and find out :P

reply

You'd like that, wouldn't you!? I'll pass on putting my hands in boiling liquid of any kind.

reply

Lol. In all honesty though, i dont think it could kill you. Just cause severe pain and burns :/

Is there a website besides UrbanDictionary that explains the meanings of all these emoticons?
