Why we love this film
80's subculture at it's best. It's not trying to be serious, it's trying to be ridiculous, but more over, great action, funny as hell, super graphic creative violence, eclectic characters, and it actually follows a plot.
I would say this was 100x better than Hobo with a Shotgun, that plot just went out the window for mindless action, and 80's movies just capture that certain charm, we can never get that style back on film, clothes, old buildings, attitudes etc..
I definitely can understand the hate, it's a very sexist movie, for women to like this I would be worried about them, it's 100% a guys movie, few women would have the stomach, but I applaud them if they do..
More so you would need a degree of excitement, violence or just basically any real life experience to like this, it's for us tortured souls or veterans... If you're a complete social hermit, or born with a silver spoon, I don't see how this could attract you.
It doesn't take much to look at the haters profile and see their fav movies to quickly realize the hate demographic.
