Silver Bullet 1985 + Lady in White 1988

Is there anybody else out there who sort of mentally group or categorize these two movies together? Whenever I watch Silver Bullet, I think of Lady in White. Whenever I watch Lady in White, I think of Silver Bullet.

I love movies that paints a picture of small serene towns. A strange nostalgia I have for an American past that I was not apart of. I also like Serling's Twilight Zones which often depicts small towns in many of the episodes. Andy Griffth and Mayberry too! Anyway, both Silver Bullet and Lady in White have narrators and both depicts a small town back-drop.

This was an absolutely random thought.

So do I, man. My parents began showing me these movies as long as I remember. I prefer Silver Bullet, but the scene in Lady in White where the uncle growls and reveals his true colors still scares me!

That is so funny you mention this. It's Halloween time and I went over to a friend's house bringing with me both Silver Bullet and Lady in White. I have a good collection on horror films and we were in the mood for 80s. These two fit the bill nicely. I think it's because it's horror seen through the eyes of children that we love and that they're both about a small-town boy's coming of age.

I actually just commented on another post in this forum saying the same thing.
They're both narrated the same way, too.
