I really enjoyed this movie. But the ending leaves me with one question.
The only person who knows that Rev.Lowe is the werewolf, is Marty. So, how would they explain Rev.Lowe's naked dead body in their living room to the police?? How would they prove that they killed THE beast?
We don't see Lowe get rid of the sherriff's body which might very well still be in the garage along with the bat and other evidence of his murdery ways. No one else knew it was a werewolf they were all looking for a serial killer. So they only have to implicate Lowe as the murderer.
But they would have known the eye that took the rocket was not a fresh wound. They would have known it was at least a few days old so how does that get explained? I LOVE this movie but this has always bothered me. You have a naked dead minister with both of his eyes blown out. One recently with a bullet and one a few days old from a rocket. I guess it isn't supposed to be relevant to the story. The main theme was a minister was a werewolf. Though I would like some answers to these questions....lol
"Yeah...I mean a naked man breaks into your house and starts assaulting you and your family members, I'd say that's a pretty good case of self-defense"
And when you say "breaks in" you can take it literally. He broke through the wall! I think that combined with the simple presence of the naked minister and, as has been mentioned, evidence in the garage would lead to the conclusion that, even if not a werewolf, something was just not right here.

This reminds me of many years ago when I worked a security patrol, I called the police in on a B & E that I came across. The door was completely off the hinges, and one of the cops who responded took one look at it and said 'Break and enter, hell! This was a demolish and enter.'
