At the end they just blow up the whole city?!!? That part to me i don't understand.
shareIt was a perfect way to get rid of the problem and destroy all of the evidence. It didn't destroy the city though, just a section of it. They say exactly how much damage was done as the Colonel is given the details over the montage of the destruction.
