LOVED the scene w/ the fox's head.

I'm only at that point in the movie but so far it was the best thing. Don't blame me, but Kurosawa's flicks have a tendency to tire me out, his version of levity just never stuck with me. He's a master craftsman, but his movies never have that emotional pr psychological punch that I look for.

That was an excellent scene.

It was one of the best scenes of the movie. I'd say all the Kaede scenes rank high; when she is talking about how Hidetora destroyed her family and her mother was killed in a spot near them, her asserting her dominance over Jiro with her words and his dagger, making sure Kurogane obeys (or is forced to do SOMETHING) about Sue after he refuses the order from Jiro, the fox scene, manipulating Jiro into a foolish attack, her death scene... they were all memorable, and she was by far the best character of the movie.
