I've read the quality is really poor but I live In UK and the criterion version is only region 1 and it's very costly,you get alot of picture snobs iut there so I don't know if it's as bad as they say,I've got a standard definition tv if that factors into anything

Well, after seeing some bluray DVDs on a hidef TV, all I can say is that whatever DVD's are out there (and I've had all of them, and donated two versions), a bluray will be infinitely better than what is currently available.
