Loved it, just a few dragging scenes
There were some slow parts here and there. I think they could have trimmed some of the scenes showing Hidetora's insanity, they made the film a bit too long and dragging. Also I'm not sure what the point of introducing Sue's brother was other than having him at the end, but I think they could have safely cut out his character all together and we wouldn't have lost any plot.
Other than those issues, this is a fantastic movie. The battle scenes are some of the best I've seen in a Samurai film. Perhaps THE best. I can't really decide whether I like this or Seven Samurai more. I suppose 7S edges out a bit, but this is a very close second and some ways I prefer Ran.
