I mean these are American soldiers who were left behind enemy lines where they have been beaten, starved, held in horrid conditions and used as slave labor. When is the US going to launch a rescue mission to bring them home?

They were never there. The whole thing was a lie spread around by American government officials who tried to slow the normalization of relations between America and Vietnam!!!
shareI hate to say this but any American POWs in Vietnam are most likely dead. They’d be in their 70’s by now, living in a sweaty, disease-ridden jungle.
It’s well established that at least 1,300 American men went missing between 1963 and 1972 but it was a war zone, bodies get scattered, fall into rivers and so on.
Actually, Vietnam has a very positive business and vacation reputation nowadays. We seem to be getting along just fine. That was a hell of a stupid goddam war. I doubt the Vietnamese are torturing our boys, they are now open for tourism business.
