Wouldn't it be a hilarious alternate ending here he fires the rocket, destroys the enemy, then turns around to see that he's killed ALL the POWs he was trying to save. The heroic music would suddenly cut out (record scratch) and Rambo would awkwardly step out of the helicopter and tip toe away.
