Every time someone says "party time"...

Every time someone says "party time" I think of the scene in this movie where the blond-haired, mustached dude in the airplane tells Rambo it's time to parachute out. The overdubbed quality of the audio, along with the guy's expression (he looks like he smells something awful) always struck me as funny.

Ha! Maybe he does say "parting time."

He definitely says party time. Also, if you look closely, when he takes out his bubble gum after saying that line and sticks it on the ceiling, there's nothing there haha.

I never noticed that. And it's been too long since I've seen this movie. Guess that's a good reason to buy the Blu-ray. :)

Go for it. This is an awesome movie.

I remember seeing First Blood at the theater when I was 13. It blew me away. First Blood Part II took it up a notch and still stands as one of the greatest action flicks ever made.

Absolutely god dam right. One of the most entertaining movies ever made, and still looks fresh today. Rambo was a real comic book hero, not that captain america crap out now haha.

Some comic book heros are okay but like Hollywood, they do overkill on them. Yeah, Rambo beats any comic book hero. Stallone was in great shape and at the height of his action hero career. This is maybe my favorite Stalline movie and definetly the best Rambo film!

Amen.

How many a$$holes we got on this ship, anyhow?!

That line always makes me chuckle. There's just no need to say it, typical 80's cheesy dialogue. He could've just said Good Luck or some such. Same with 'Back in the badlands mah man' by the Sensei from Karate Kid.

reply

Ha! I had forgotten that cheesy line from the Karate Kid sensei (Martin Kove), but the moment I read this, I heard it again in my head like an old tape recording.

In the Karate Kid Part III, Terry Silver also says "Party time" when he and Martin Kove bow to each other before fighting Mr. Miyagi.
