Two movies connected to this one

Irrevocably connected for no reason other than my own associations. Well, one of them is connected. Anyone remember an old movie in black and white where the only color is this kid's hair when it turns green? There's a whole trial about it I think and he's sentenced to have his head shaved. I remember a scene where the barber is shaving his green hair and the kid's crying, maybe. I may have dreamed this.
Another movie is where a woman orders a son from some company where you can choose eye color etc, and he comes in a metal barrel or drum and she has to pour water on him or something? She opens the barrel too early and his back and ribs are all emaciated looking and stuff. Uh, it might have been a different movie but also some people order a new grandmother from this company? These are memories of dreams of memories of movies I saw when I was a very young child. I found the Peanut Butter Solution, and I'll add to all the others that I believe the film makers stumbled on something that has a profound impact on the imaginations of children, but these two I haven't had conformation on. Also, for kicks, anyone remember an old show, maybe from nickelodeon where some kids maybe travel time and end up in a burning house some how? Uh. Yeah, vague. There's a horse drawn carriage ride in there somewhere, and an old man. Burning staircase, british accents. A fountain in a courtyard?

Sorry about all this.

Let's see... the grandmother one is "The Electric Grandmother"

The Mail-order kid one was called "Konrad"

I don't remember the green-haired kid one, but the other movie with the house fire sounds vaguely familiar to me too.

It is titled "The boy with the green hair" (Really).

THe grandmother one could also be "I sing the body electric", an episode from the original twilight zone.

The little boy in "The Boy With Green Hair" is Dean Stockwell, best known as Al the hologram from "Quantum Leap".
