Magic paint brush?

I'm pretty sure this is the movie with a scene I vividly remember where some guy paints a picture of a broken-down or haunted house. The paint brush was magical because the people could then *walk into the painting*. For some reason this movie and this scene in particular are etched into my memory from when I saw the movie 20 years ago as a kid. I'm going to buy a used copy on Amazon and get drunk and watch this movie. Probably going to mess with my head big time!

Yes, I do remember that scene too. The paint brush was made from the boys hair after he grew it back. The scene was of the house where he lost his hair to begin with.

This was the only scene f the movie I've been able to remember for years! I'm so glad I finally found out what it was.
