This is waaaay too freaky...
Okay, so I watched this film when I was around five years old. A few sequences remained etched in my memory. But a few years later I thought it was all a dream, and was convinced nothing like this was ever made.
And now, thanks to IMDB, I found this movie.... and found that SOOO MANY PEOPLE HAD THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE!!! I'm convinced that there is something hypnotic about watching this movie at a young age!
I agree. There's something strange about this film. I thought it was just some weird dream I'd had once, too. And it's a comedy?! For some reason, this movie scared the hell out of me!
sharei could not agree more. there's something very eerie about this movie...uncanny that so many people have had the same experience: indelible images in the mind, nightmares for years on end, convinced it was never real, just a dream. clearly traumatizing... i was creeped out just to watch the trailer again.

Totally agree- for yeas since I was a kid (I am 26 now) I have always been trying to remember the name of this movie- I could only remember key parts like when the man creates the painting on the huge canvas and when the dogs are running after the boy- but that wasnt enough to find out the movie now- just ordered it on ioffer.com to see again so many years later!
shareI just found out what this movie was a couple days ago. I discovered the "I Need to Know" board on IMDb, and I thought, "These memories have haunted me for years. I'm sure it was just a dream, but I have to ask if anyone remembers this movie about hair...."
Looking at the youtube and IMDb posts about this movie, I'm amazed that so many people had the exact same experience! There is something about this movie. It's like the freaking video from The Ring.
