Canada

Is this film well known in Canada? I know it's so obscure in the US. Of just about everyone I asked if they of heard of this movie they said no.

Hi!

To answer to your question, this movie is from the «Contes pour tous» collection, so here in Quebec, it is very well-known. «Contes pour tous» is a series of family movies that have been done from 1984 to 2002, idea of the Quebec producer Roch Demers. They have been really popular here in Quebec, in Canada and on the European continent. I just turned 18 and I grew up watching «The Peanut Butter Solution», which is the second movie of the collection. It is the kind of movies they put on TV during Christmas holidays and that brings us so good memories... If you talk about it to people around 25-30, they sure will know about it (or know one of the «Contes pour tous»).

I hope this answers your question!

Simon

I watch this movie in school when I was in grade three. I think a lot of schools did this for this movie because I have to yet run into someone that didn't know about this movie that was a kid around the time it came out (though I don't make a habit of asking people.. but it has come up in random conversations here and there.. this one and the other one they had us watch "thew Dog Who Stopped the War" or something like that.
