Okay,
It was either made in the late '80's or early '90's. It involved a boy who had either designed/created/found some source of energy and used it to power a space ship that he built out of an old tea cup ride. He travels into space and ends up on some other planet or something of the sort.

I recognize that one too! Here's another weird one that I bet no one will have any clue about - All I remember is something about a kid getting adopted, or maybe put in foster care, because he can't be with his dad or something. Anyway, the dad still contacts him in weird ways, but in the house he's staying at there's a girl who lives there too and they can't talk to each other, and they are kept in like, cells, and I remember this one scene where they're eating cream of wheat in the morning and the parent people make a comment about the lumps in the cream of wheat adn they're like, "don't worry, they're just raisins"... that's like, all I remember. Is that not totally psycho? I'll be completely blown away if anyone knows what movie this is.
