Mike overreacted
Can someone help me understand the reason Mike was so upset. So he was frightened and he lost his hair. What's the big deal? He could have played it off like it was a haircut you know.

shareI saw this movie when I was 4 (I think) and I remember the seen where he was so upset.
I can't remember if they said it was grow back or not. Nonetheless, I kind of understand why he would be upset at first. He was confused and upset about this change. He had no idea what happened. Still--to actually go to the extent of finding a solution is a tad much.
Yeah it's actually understandable why he would be so upset. Just imagine going to bed and everything is normal, then wake up the next morning and out of no where your hair is gone! You are completely bald! Not only that, but there appears to be no evidence of his hair falling out because they never said if they found pieces of hair lying around on his bed or whatever. So that's even more of a disturbing thing to go through. So really, anyone would be upset because you don't know why your all of a sudden completely bald and wondering what the hell happened to your hair. You would think you were deathly ill or something. So yeah, his reaction was very believable.
shareI seem to remember when I was a little girl in the 80s that boys actually liked to buzz their heads, so I never understood why it freaked him out so much either or why the others made fun of him.
There are potholes on the road less traveled....
I was a little girl in the 80s too and I recall rat tails and mullets, but no skin bald heads. I don't think that has ever been a style except for kids doing chemo and even then it wasn't a choice.
