The score of the film by Henry Mancini is amazing.I don't know how the film was marketed at the time,but I am surprised that it didn't get an Oscar nomination.None of the scores in the 58th Academy Awards are any special and Mancini was a respected musician,so it is strange.
shareFilm was a flop, and nobody cared come Oscar season sadly. The film's score is indeed quite amazing, and the epic theme actually suits the film quite well.
BTW if you're looking for a similar Mancini scores, I'd recommend giving Nightwing, and Condorman a list. Condorman doesn't have any real scary music, but it does have bombasm, and the theme for this film, sounds like it may evolved from some of the tracks in that film.
