Say what? The dvd is out now. Look on ebay or amazon. Just cant find it in stores. At least around here I cant.

I wanted to apologize. I looked it up today on ebay and they were all dubbed copies. Im pretty upset cuz I was planning on buying one. Im sorry I told you they were there. They are but none of them are "real" copies. Sorry!

They talked about the movie on "I Love the 80's - 3D" on VH-1 last week, so maybe the company will finally release the DVD.

I Love the 80s is what reminded me. Thank God "Just One of the Guys" is already out on DVD. Thanks to EW for the REMAKE THIS! article on that one. Great high school movie.

I am eagerly awaiting to see it. I pray it comes out on DVD, and pray that they will show it on tv one night. LAte night Friday, ill watch it with beer and it will be cool. aha.

Why is it not out on DVD? Is it deemed not good enough or something (i wouldn't know, aint saw it)?. I badly wanna see it.

I know that one summer on HBO they showed it like everyday at least twice a day! That's where I first saw it and I was soon addicted. It's a great movie, too bad i can't have a copy of my own.

it stinks.. i bought a copy from ebay.. stupid of me to not check on it. I assumed wrongly that since it was an older movie it would be on dvd...

As per today my research on it shows NO authetic DVD releases are made..

I sure wish they would. I remember my grandmother getting mad b/c I was always sneaking on HBO to watch it.. back then HBO was said to be a bad station to watch lol well @least in my house hold..

BRING IT ON DVD!

About a year ago I got a bug up my ass to get this movie. I ended up paying $50 for VHS copy of it, since I live in North Dakota nobody cares too much about movie, but I have enjoyed it ever since. Funny thing though, yesterday I was working at my video store job and someone called in looking for this movie. I told them my story and said buying it was the only way you can watch this movie anymore. Yes, I beleive this should and will come out on dvd...don't get suckered by the copies they have for sale on ebay.

I went to the video store and asked about it about a year ago. They said that this movie is kind of like a Disney movie. They only release it ever so often, kinda like the good old "Disney Vault." At that point, I think the girl at the counter said that it hadn't been re-released for about 8 years... I'm praying that someday it'll happen. It's one of my favorite 80's movies. I have my TiVo set to record it if it EVER plays on any channel. It's been about 9 months, and still no luck :( It's not as much fun with the commercials and all, but it's something I guess...

Oh yuck!

I read this whole mini series/articles on how Disney is with some of their movies.

I bought Watcher in the Woods and it took forever for Disney to release that.
It is a good movie.

I didn't realize Disney had this movie as well.

YOu will expect the movie to be $20+.
They do that to keep the cost of the movies up.
I read about it.

I love that movie. The sound track was the best.

If you don't have much to begin with, then you don't have much to lose.

It would be nice to have it out on DVD, it would also be nice if they would re-release it on VHS so more people could have access to it both ways. A movie as good as this should be easier for the public to get ahold of legally, release it!

you can find the dvd on ebay but its a bootleg copy and i hear the quality is not that good. luckily it was on hbo a few years back and i taped it onto a blank vhs tape so i can have my billie jean fix whenever i need it.

yes i think the studios should release more vhs of the legend of billie jean

to stores area

which other people didn't get the movie

i am also looking for it

it's not on dvd yet

it's only on vhs still

my mom bought one from ebay and it says disc error

but she had her money refunded

they do have one on amazon.com

and he or she is selling a vhs of the legend of billie jean

it's brand new but it cost a lot of money

i'm writing the studios to get the movie

i'm not paying $140 for the legend of billie jean at amazon

that is to much money

do any of you are willing to pay that much money

It came on hdnet the other day and now have it under protected status on the PVR. Billie Jean in hi def-fairs fair. Now if only i had a HDDVD burner or DVHS.

I've got a digital (full HD) rip of it from HDNet Movies... came thru perfect except for like 1 frame with a minor error (some blocks). I plan on doing a digital conversion to widescreen DVD with the 5.1 intact. :D

For some reason the release of The Wizard on DVD this past August 29th just makes me feel good about a possible future release of Billie Jean.

It's coming, it just has to be. One of these days we'll all walk into Best Buy and see a nice (probably bare-bones) official release. Then we'll skip home to our DVD players, pop it in, and sob uncontrollably through the nostalgia.

One of these days. :)
