"Corpus Christi Bandits" (1945)
"Discotek Fin de Semana" Mexican production with midnight car chase downtown CC
"Tilt" 1979
"Honeysuckle Rose" Willy Nelson 1980
"Raggedy Man" 1981
"Legend of Billie Jean" 1985
and others.

I was in Corpus at the time. The production company built the miniature golf course you see in the film. It was on North Beach (now called Corpus Christi Beach) near where the Lexington is now. It remained for several years after filming completed.

It was built by production? My mom said it was always there even BEFORE filming.

No, that was built FOR the movie. There had been some kind of park there on what was then called North Beach before the movie.

I was a cop in CC from '83 to '92 and I worked North Beach. No Putt Putt before the movie.

Yeah the Padre Staples mall is now being remodeled. Since it's being remodeled they're also changing the name because they sold it. It's now called La Palmera.

Yes it was filmed in the Sunrise Mall, which is so neglected now. It's sad. There's about 2 good stores in that place still, barely anyone walks the corriders, and the only thing keeping the mall up is the dollar cinemas and maybe Burlington Coat factory. I admit that's probably the only reasons I go to the mall.

I'm sitting in Flour Bluff right now.

This was one of my favorite movies as a kid, but I didn't move to Corpus Christi until 7 years ago. I've always been interested in knowing some of the filming locations of this movie, besides the mall.

Any help from anyone?
