Its funny you should mention Michael Jackson, because thats the reason I first watched this movie in the first place. When I was younger, I was a huge MJ fan. I saw in the TV guide (does anyone remember those) that "The Legend of Billie Jean" would be on at eight. I was so excited. I thought it had something to do with MJ. So I tuned in and was at first very disappointed. But, I kept watching, largely because I thought Helen Slater was hot! I ended up loving the movie and the soundtrack.

It would've been a lot cooler if it did. I probably would've got up and started cleaning the house or something if they would have played Billie Jean, up my love...

Know this is old thread but I thought that too. Was huge MJ fan when I was a kid and when I heard about this movie I assumed it was the background story of the girl MJ was singing about.

Yrs later via an interview I saw him do, he mentioned how his Billie Jean was a reference to lots of girls that use to follow him and his brothers around. I was so disappointed cuz I had this image of one girl
