Although I've seen it sooo many times ~ I've always wondered ppl's opinion to when Putter grabbed the scissors. Did you believe she was going to use it on her mother (due to slapping her)?
Yeah, I think she just grabbed them to get her mother's attention and make her stop, and took a minute to consider what he was going to do with the scissors.
I just wondered at the convenience of the sheriff department allowing sharp objects just lying around next to the holding area, waiting for an actual violent criminal to grab and use on an officer or fellow prisoner. Not saying it couldn't happen, but leaving scissors in that spot is certainly something that would get an employee in a *whole* lotta trouble even if it doesn't turn out badly. Which, given how easily Putter laid ahold of them, it almost certainly would have.
Oddly that scene made me go old school to Mayberry (Andy Griffin Show) where it was a small town and they perhaps didn't have to arrest a lot of ppl. Could also be assumed that they were ok with leaving things around these young girls who obviously were just arrested on fact that they were pretending to be someone else (or looked like someone else).
