I dispise remakes, but the perfect guy for Sho Nuff...

Is the guy who I originally thought was Sho Nuff...MALIK YOBA! From New York Undercover.

I disagree, I feel Busta Rhymes should play sho nuff, this guy looks just like him.

I hate remakes too! Especially of this movie. NOBODY can fill these cult roles. However, I feel Charlie Murphy would be freakin hilarious in the role of Sho Nuff..
What ya'll think??

reply

Yeah, I can see Charlie Murphy in that role.

if they remake this, which i'm torn about, they need to make sure the guy can do actual martial arts.

charlie, busta, and jackson would need some serious training to make it believable.

i'd prefer seeing a new person as both leroy and the shogun.

we don't need hollywood superstars trying to make this into something weak.

if it's not going to be a badass as the original, then they need to stop workign on it right now.

actually charlie murphy has been doing martial arts since the 80's. I doubt he's a glowing master or anything but im sure he would be fine.

reply

actually charlie murphy is trained or at least is training lol dont u remember ricks comment? Don't u think charlies a lil old to be takin karate? He's prolly takin it with the lil kids lmao

You see, that's why Wutang Clan should remake this movie.

Sifu Shiyan Ming teaches Method Man Kung Fu.

There you go, real Kung Fu, you could have the RZA do the sound track and Quintin Terrentino direct it and then I'm sure the rest of the pieces will just fall into place.

I like the original cast so much, it's tough to think of replacements. I think the producers should get a couple of unknowns to fill some of the roles. I think some actor between the ages of 25-38 could play Shonuff. I think Wesley Jonathan of the movie Roll Bounce would be good as Shonuff. He's tall and good at making mean faces. I think Jennifer Lewis would be good a Mama Green. Will Farrell could be Eddie Arcadian and I don't know who could play his goofy girlfriend. Jackie Chan with a few grey highlights in his hair could play Leroy's master. Whoever plays Leroy has to pull off a shy and innocent personality. I just hope they don't get Beyonce to play Vanity's role. I got nothing against Bee but I can't see her in that role.

Charlie Murphy knows martial arts! He cross kicked Rick in his chest, knocked him into his dresser and made him bleed inside his chest a little bit!!!

If they remade this and Charlie Murphy was in it I'd see it opening day at the midnight showing!

Life's tough, it's tougher if you're stupid.

Michael Jai White. Intimidating, rough voices, knows some serious martial arts, and is supremely hilarious. Watch black Dynamite.

Everyone that everyone has named is way too old to be in this movie. Julius was about 32 when he did this and Taimak was about 20. They need YOUNG fresh talent.

Whoever plays Leroy needs to be a martial artist first and an actor second. I would go the other direction for Sho'nuff.

I hate IMDB's Signature policy...
